Jason Dodge e Raimundas Malasauskas
From 13 to 25 April 2015 the Spinola Banna Foundation for Art will host the international workshop of the artists Jason Dodge and Raimundas Malašauskas.
The workshop will be attended by artists all under 35: eight of which selected through the Foundation’s customary annual competition ((Filippo Bisagni, Giorgio Cugno, Sara Enrico, Virginia Francia, Andrea Galiazzo, Stefano Serretta, Federico Tosi and the duo Francesco Venturi & Natasa Vasiljevic) ) and, thanks to the agreement entered into in 2013, an undergraduate from the DAD – Department of Architecture and Design of the Polytechnic of Turin (Andrea Ottaviani) will also attend.
The workshop will be intensive: the guests will live and work together on the Banna estate in a multi-functional area that has bedrooms, workshops and spacious areas immersed in nature.
Jason Dodge was born in Pennsylvania in 1969, his work has been included in many exhibitions internationally including Oo at the Venice Biennale, as well as in Museums like the Walker Art Center, the Henry Art Gallery, MCA Chicago as well as Kunstvereins in Hannover, Düsseldorf, and Nürnberg. Dodge has recently been writing lectures on sculpture which have been read at several museums and art centers, he is also the the founder of the poetry press 500 places -- dedicated to bringing more poems into the art context.
Raimundas Malašauskas was born in Vilnius, curates in the world, writes occasionally.
