Ten days of contemporary art dedicated to Alighiero Boetti
A project conceived and promoted by the CRT Foundation for Modern and Contemporary Art as part of Contemporary Art Torino-Piemonte, coordinated by Artissima
Boetti and the Orient
Curated by Gail Cochrane, Mario Della Vedova, Amedeo Martegani and Luca Pancrazzi
The Spinola Banna Art Foundation presents a video and related material documenting a trip Alighiero Boetti made to Afghanistan together with and some of the people who shared this experience. In it we can witness firsthand his approach to working and his alternative way of communicating in those years, years in which Boetti established set systems within which to work, often the close involvement of other people. The exhibition will give visitors a chance to see previously unseen material, mainly photographs, lent by some key figures who were always close to the artist as well as other artists who emerged during the second half of the 80s.
The following people worked on this project:
Randi Malkin, Andrea Marescalchi, Giorgio Colombo, Pierpaolo Pagano and Rinaldo Rossi.
