This year with Georges Aperghis, we thought of a program for piano and electronics, and it was an opportunity to forge a collaboration with the IRCAM-Center Pompidou music acoustic research and coordination center in Paris
We are very grateful to Frank Madlener, director of the center, who has allowed Giulia Lorusso and Emanuele Palumbo, the young composers to whom we have entrusted the new commissions, to carry out intensive working sessions at IRCAM to perfect the electronic part with a formidable team , and in particular Mike Solomon for music informatics, Jérémie Bourgogne sound engineer and Mariangela Vacatello on piano.
A heartfelt thanks to Georges Aperghis, who in developing the technique of transducers with the boys also wanted to rethink his song Dans le mur (2007) in a new version, for this occasion.
