Organising Committee for the Italian Foundations of Contemporary Art 2014
The network of the Foundations is a new organism which sets out to valorise and make available a set of vocations and skills that these realities have provided for years in the field of exhibiting and research, of support for the young artistic generations both here and abroad, of education, relations with different audiences and with local communities.
The Committee is not-for-profit, and pursues only aims of collective interest and – through the implementation of its initiatives – also intends to promote the constitution of a new no-profit body.
The Committee means to contribute to the valorisation and promotion of the artistic and cultural heritage in Italy – with particular reference to the world of contemporary art – bringing together subjects that work in this field. In the pursuit of its own goals, the Committee intends: to promote the creation of a network between foundations, museums and private contemporary art centres that have created public spaces for the promotion of contemporary art; with a view to the overall arts system, to coordinate and valorise the experiences and activities set up by members, fostering shared, innovative and sustainable projects; creating a network that may represent a point of reference, of confrontation and interlocution – both in Italy and abroad – in the field of the valorisation and promotion of artistic and cultural heritage.
The Foundations represented on the Committee are:
Fondazione Brodbeck (Catania), Città dell’arte-Fondazione Pistoletto (Biella, Torino), Fondazione Giuliani (Roma), Fondazione Memmo – Arte Contemporanea (Roma), Fondazione Merz (Torino), Fondazione Antonio Morra Greco (Napoli), Nomas Foundation (Roma), Fondazione Pastificio Cerere (Roma), Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana – Pinault Collection (Venezia) Fondazione Antonio Ratti (Como), Fondazione Remotti (Camogli, Genova), Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Torino), Fondazione Spinola Banna per l’Arte (Poirino, Torino), Fondazione Nicola Trussardi (Milano), Fondazione VOLUME!
