Lia Cecchin (Feltre, 1987) lives and works in Italy. In 2010 she graduated in Visual Arts at the Faculty of Arts & Design (IUAV University – Venice) with the thesis “To immortalize the death (Nan Goldin, Sophie Calle, Hannah Wilke, Felix Gonzalez- Torres)”. Since 2009 she has been involved in several group exhibition in Italy and abroad, such as in 2010 “BYTS” at AKV (’s-Hertogenbosch – NL); in 2012 “Fuoriclasse” curated by Luca Cerizza, at GAM (Milan – IT) and in 2013 “The First Settlers” at HALLE 14 (Leipzig – DE). In 2011 she took part in the yearly residency program at Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation (Venice) and in 2013 for the 4 months residency at HALLE 14 (Leipzig – DE). Recently she attended the workshop held by Alberto Garutti at the Fondazione Spinola Banna (Poirino), where she already took part in 2011 and in 2013 to the workshops held by Massimo Bartolini and Marta Kuzma.
