Derek Maria Francesco Di Fabio was born in Milan in 1987.
In 2006 he enrolled in the course held by Alberto Garutti at the Brera Fine Arts Academy. In 2009 he spent a period of study in Warsaw, where he became familiar with the quantity of phonemes in the Polish language. Over New Year 2010, together with other artists he founded Motel Lucie, an experimental workshop examining means of exhibition/ communication and developing collective works. Since 2010 he has collaborated with Cherimus, an association which aims to integrate contemporary art within the Sardinian territory. In 2011 he took part in Let’s Circus, a project by Marco Colombaioni produced with the collaboration of the Piccola Scuola di Circo in Milan. He then moved to London, where he is planning to make a film.
